Two Functions and Resourcefulness——Reflection on the working of wonders by Zhejiang University with its campus in the north of Guizhou

从1940到1946年,西迁黔北的浙江大学在不到七年的时间中,在生活清苦无电少舍的山城小镇,创造了中国科教史上的奇迹,由一所地方性大学发展为中国最知名的大学之一。黔北时期浙大校长的引领作用和教授的核心作用,求是创新善用资源等方面的成功经验,对当前我国高校的建设和发展,仍具有现实借鉴意义。

In the period of less than 7 years from 1940 to 1946,the relocated Zhejiang University in the north of Guizhou,in a small town where life was hard and there was no electricity and insufficient accommodation,worked wonders in the history of scientific research and education.It has developed from a regional university into one of the best known universities in China.The leading role and the kernel role among the professors of the president of the then Zhejiang University,his successful experience in seeking truth and being creative and resourceful are still of great realistic significance for the construction and development of institutions of higher learning in our country.
