Men's Attitude and Perception on Women's Reproductive Health Related Issues

目的:探讨男性对妇女所处健康风险、地位和权利的认知和观念,以及男性在艾滋病预防中所承担的责任。方法:面对面问卷调查的定量方法与个人深度访谈和小组访谈的定性方法相结合。结果:男性对妇女健康地位和风险的认识还存在一定的偏差,对女性的易感性和脆弱性认识不足,对妇女生殖健康问题的关注程度也有待提高。面对女性感染艾滋病病毒,部分男性存在不宽容和潜在的歧视心理。结论:让男性了解女性所处的健康地位和风险,倡导男性参与。建议建立新的性别角色规范,关注男性和女性的不同需求。

Objective： To analyze men＇s attitude and perception on women＇s reproductive health related issues, as well as men＇s responsibility of HIV/AIDS prevention. Methods： The quantitative questionnaire interviews and qualitative Focus Group Discussions and In-depth interviews were employed. Results： Men had inadequate understanding on women＇s susceptibility and vulnerability in terms of reproductive health risk issues. It also needed to improve the men＇s concerns on women＇s reproductive health. More than half of the men devoided of forgiveness and discriminate against their wives＇ infection. Conclusions： Men＇s understanding and awareness on women＇s health risk and status would encourage men＇s involvement in women＇s reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention. It is important to set up social equity and equality and eliminate the discrimination with regarding to HIV/AIDS prevention. It is suggested to build new gender norms and pay more attention on both men and women＇s needs.
