城市形象是一个巨系统,包括职能形象子系统、形态形象子系统、经济形象子系统和文化形象子系统,而其承载要素系统又包括实物类承载要素子系统、事件类承载要素子系统和人物类承载要素子系统。根据城市形象系统结构,城市形象建设的程序应包括城市形象现状分析与城市形象资源调查、城市总体形象定位、城市形象子系统策划、城市形象承载要素系统建设和城市形象传播。

An urban image is a macro-level structure which includes functional,morphological,economic,and cultural image systems.The elements supporting these systems are of physical,event or activity,and human nature.Developing an urban image structure should include a survey of resources,analyses of the status-quo,image orientation,sub-system programming,constructing supporting elements,and urban image propaganda.
