The localization of Marxist outlook on intellectuals in China had a direct bearing on Chinese revolution and development.Chairman Mao Zedong,who made great efforts in exploring the localization of Marxist outlook on intellectuals in China,made tremendous contribution to determining the class,status,roles,and development of intellectuals.However,his underrating and distrust of intellectuals in the process and the subsequent consequences have provided valuable experiences and lessons for contemporary localization of Marxist outlook on intellectuals in China.
