论汉英口译中的“中式英文”现象

On Phenomenon of China English in Chinese-English Interpretation

本文从比较"中式英文"和"中国式英语"的不同本质入手,从语言学、环境、习惯性思维模式和所处情势等多个角度剖析了引发汉英口译中"中式英文"现象的原因,并提出相应的矫正措施。作者通过分析认为:从根本上讲,"中式英文"是不可能被彻底消除的,学术界应该客观务实地审视这一现象,并最终接受"中式英文"成为英文大家族中的一员。

China English is a noticeable phenomenon in Chinese-English interpretation,and its two major manifestations can be seen in the use of ＂unnecessary/superfluous words＂ and in ＂Chinese syntax sentence structures＂.Beginning with a definition of the difference between China English and Chinglish,the paper analyzes the causes for this phenomenon from various angles： linguistic causes;environmental causes;habitual thinking pattern causes and situational causes.The paper proposes a number of remedies to fix this phenomenon.It also points out that it is impractical to eliminate China English and suggests viewing this phenomenon objectively and pragmatically.People should accept China English as one of the many types of English in the family of English.
