高校英语专业阅读课程教学改革思路

On the Teaching Reform of Extensive Reading Course for English Majors

现有的英语专业教学大纲忽视了阅读课的写作教学功能,且在阅读材料的选取上只强调了材料的难度而忽视了学生对生词的接受忍耐程度。英语阅读课程的教学改革应以理解阅读教学目的为基础,合理选择低频生词的阅读材料,在教学中应采用限时阅读和从写作角度讲解克服现有教学大纲的不足。

The present syllabus for English majors stresses students＇ reading speed and the difficulty of reading materials,but overlooks the function of teaching writing through reading and ignores students＇ acceptance of new words.The reforms in extensive reading course should be made with thoroughly understanding of the aims of reading,using materials with limited number of new words,adopting the approach of time-limited reading dealing with the materials from the perspective of writing to overcome the weaknesses of the syllabus.
