Design and Making of the Sand Table Models

随着电子沙盘日益风行,沙盘模型作为一种立体直观的微缩景观,以其一览性、固久性和直观表现力仍具有强大的生命力和发展空间,就沙盘制作的实践,介绍沙盘模型设计的指导思想、设计方案和具体的制作过程。

Sand table,a scaled three-dimensional model,is made of sand and foam sheets according to topographic maps,aero-photograph and real topography to imitate the relief of a local terrain.Sand table provides extensible capacity of development featured in full view,persistence and visualization.This paper attempted to illustrate the procedure of making a sand table in light of author＇s practice experience,focusing on the schematic design and manufacturing process.
