Research on Developing Good Grain Quality in Indica Hybrid Rice Through Intersubspecific Hybridization

在16个亚种间杂交组合中，有6个偏籼组合的米质达到部优二级标准。选择优质米偏籼组合时，应抓好亲本选择：（1）选用优质米籼型（或偏籼型）不育系作母本；（2）重视双亲的垩白度和透明度的选择，最好两个性状在双亲中都属于部优级标准；（3）选用双亲性状互补，特别是对米质起重要作用的性状，不要选用都是非部优级标准的双亲性状。

Six indica hybrid rice wlth good grain quality were developed through crossing indica type with japonica type. It is very important to use good quality indica sterile line as female parent. Should pay more attention to two quality index of chalkiness and translucency. At least one parent possess good quality in this two index choosing parents with complementary traits each other should be considered in breeding programs.
