关于中国国际关系理论的认识论共识及其问题

Epistemological Consensus on Chinese IR Theory and Its Problems

近年来,建立中国国际关系理论的探讨在中国国际关系学学界逐渐形成了某种共识,其主要体现在对学科内知识的生产与演进过程的认识上。这种关于知识过程的认识论共识一方面为中国国际关系理论的构建提供了有力的支持,另一方面由于其自身的不足而有可能成为理论构建的障碍。其中最大的问题是,中国国际关系学界对学科内知识构建的过程过于理想化,因而不能完全证明其生成的必然性,也无法对中国学派在构建过程中可能出现的困难做前瞻性的思考。作者认为,要解决这一问题,必须将现有的认识论与学科内的实际知识过程这两者有机结合起来,从而为中国理论的发生与发展寻求更为牢固的哲学基础。中国学派的研究对象不一定要局限于国际关系的中国认识,也不应囿于构建某种与西方体系完全不可通约的理论体系。中国学派完全可以采取一种更为开放的态度,将注意力集中在对整个学科知识过程的深度反思中,并从中提炼和生成出一种能促使对现有西方理论体系进行自我反思的认识论基础。建立在此研究基础之上的中国学者才有可能在国际关系理论的创设中占据一席之地,获得独特的认同与发展。

Discourses on Chinese IR theory have led to an epistemological consensus among Chinese scholars on the construction and evolution of knowledge within this research field.Due to its shortcomings,such a consensus,though,helpful to the construction of a Chinese IR theory at current stage,may result in some potential problems.One among the many shortcomings is that such a consensus inclines to understand the knowledge process in this field from an oversimplified and idealized perspective.It can neither clarify the inevitability of making and transferring local knowledge in this discipline,nor can it give enough attention to the possible difficulties in the construction of Chinese School in the future.To solve this problem,it is necessary to find a more solid philosophical foundation for Chinese IR theory which is made possible only by combining the real knowledge process in this discipline in particular with epistemological reflection on scientific knowledge in general.
