Field experiments with corn were carried out under various densities of Solidago canadensis to study the interaction of 5.canadensis and corn growth. The results showed that with the density of S.canadensis increasing the growth rate of corn plant height increased, the decrease rate of fresh corn stalk weight also did,and there were significant differences between different-density treatments. The ear number per corn plant and the ear weight were negatively correlated with the density of S.canadensis, and there were significant differences between different-density treatments and CK. The effect of S.canadensis density on its own plant height enhanced with the density increasing but that on its own fresh weight decreased with the density increasing. Also the corn plants had an obvious influence on the density, fresh weight and plant height of S.canadensis but the influence gradually declined with time.
