In the SLA field, researchers have proposed a series of SLA models to describe how SLA takes place and provided explanations of SLA mechanism of all the models, Krashen＇ s Monitor Model is the most comprehensive and controversial. The paper aims to present its key points objectively, express some critical comment on it, and explores its guidance in foreign language teaching and learning.
