文化典籍外译与文化自觉

On the Translation of Chinese Classics and Cultural Conciousness

众多学者对中国文化典籍的外译已有较多讨论,取得了丰硕的成果。文章从文化自觉的视角探讨文化典籍的外译,指出不仅要以文化自觉来引导文化典籍的外译,而且要用文化典籍的外译来促进全球华人的文化自觉和文化自尊,同时也促进西方人对中国文化的自觉,以达到对话、互补和交融的多元文化和谐共处的大同图景。因此,在翻译过程中,要采取文化比较的研究方法、和而不同的文化心态、求同存异的翻译策略。

A lot of research has been done on the translation of Chinese classics into foreign languages. This paper tries to discuss the translation of Chinese classics from the perspective of cultural conciousness. Not only can the theory of cultural conciousness guide the practice of translation,but also the translation can be used to enhance the cultral conciousness of Chinese people all over the world and improve foreigners＇ understanding of Chinese culture.To achieve this,cultural comparison,the mentality of tolerating differences and the strategy of keeping differences while seeking the common ground are very important in the process of translation.
