摘要
本文讨论D.H.劳伦斯小说《恋爱中的女人》的特殊情调。指出作品种种矛盾的修辞表达的是反现代性的焦虑。男女主人公纠结于情欲的狂喜与精神的毁灭,对世界纯粹的爱与醉心死亡的双重性是一种痛苦,也是自得的情调。绝望、忧郁、怨恨、报复、敌意、诅咒是反现代性的标识。作品中人物集体的社会批判、灵魂流亡和否定状态呈现的是文学上的意识形态抵抗,是小说反现代性的别一种贡献。
The purpose of this paper is to examine a particular tone in D.H.Lawrence＇s Women in Love.It attempts to point out that the use of various contradictory rhetorical devices by Lawrence in this novel is an expression of anxiety in the context of anti-modernity.The protagonists＇ indulgence in,at once,erotic ecstasy and spiritual destruction,pure love toward the world and obsession with death,is both suffering and self-gratification.In a certain sense,despair,melancholy,resentment,vindictiveness,hostility and malediction are signs of anti-modernity,while the critical attitude toward society,the exile in soul and the negativity to existence seen in different characters of this novel can be considered as an ideological resistance against modernity by literature.
