PhD training scheme in cancer biology in the USA is introduced here,and this scheme represents the deliberations and consensus of a working group of cancer biology chairs and program directors that represent more than 50 academic medical centers.The authors also overview the current status of cancer biology discipline in China,and provide insights for development of cancer biology discipline and academic degrees.
