自纲目体在南宋产生以后,旋即被时人运用到史书编修之中。早期纲目体史书的撰修者注重编纂程序,突出编修宗旨,讲求史书简明化以及受理学影响明显,从而使得该类史书具有较高的史学价值,并且对后世史书编纂及史学发展产生了很大影响。

After the emergence of the Gangmu ti in the Southern Song Dynasty, it was immediately applied to the compilation of history. Those historians paid attention to the procedure, emhasized the purpose and conciseness of history compilation. Meanwhile, the influence of the Lixue is prominent during the process. In a word, the historical value of the Gangmu ti is high, and it exerted great influences on history compilations and historical studies in the following times.
