对外直接投资的技术进步效应——基于1985～2008年的经验研究

The Technological Progress Effect of Outward Foreign Direct Investment——Analysis on the Data between 1985 and 2008

对外直接投资是国际技术溢出的渠道之一。本文利用我国1985～2008年的对外直接投资的流量和存量数据,运用协整方法和误差修正模型,对我国对外直接投资与我国技术进步的关系进行了经验分析。结果表明,对外直接投资对我国技术进步没有起到应有的促进作用,原因可能包括现阶段我国技术获取型对外投资比例偏小、技术吸收能力偏弱、传导机制复杂和对国内投资的"挤出效应"等。

Outward Foreign Direct Investment is one channel of international technology spillovers. Based on Chinese FDI outflows and outstock data of 1985 -2008, this paper estimates the relationship between OFDI and technological progress in China by using the cointegration and vector error correction model. The empirical results show that OFDI don＇ t promote China＇ s total factor productivity, and the reason is because that the proportion of technology sourcing OFD1 of China is too small, China＇ s absorptive capability is too weak, transmission mechanism is complicated and the crowding - out effect of OFDI upon domestic investment in China.
