民族团结是各民族和谐相处的基本前提,是实现新疆跨跃式发展和长治久安的根本保障。文章立足于新疆特殊区情,实现民族团结,要坚持从教育入手,引导各族群众树立正确的民族观,夯实民族团结的思想基础;要坚持科学发展,实现民族地区跨越式发展,加快提升各族群众的生活水平,为祖国统一和边疆的长治久安奠定物质基础;要将有利于促进民族团结的一切政策措施细化落实到社会建设中,为实现新疆民族团结奠定扎实的社会基础。

National unity is the basic premise for harmonious co-existence among ethnic groups and security for Xinjiang＇s striding development and long-term stability.The thesis sets foot in Xinjiang＇s characteristic situation to reach national unity by starting from education,guide people of different nationalities to set up proper view on ethnology and consolidate the ideological base for national unity.Holding the view on scientific development,we reach striding progress in ethnic-minority region,raise the living standard of people in different nationalities and lay materials base for motherland unification and frontier＇s stability.As all policies that will facilitate national unity are implemented in socialist construction,solid social foundation is laid for national unity in Xinjiang.
