Guangdong Naval Defense Collective Review compiled and written by Lingnan regional patriotic historian Liang Tingnan in the mid-Qing period is a comprehensive history and specialized history on Guangdong naval defense.The book is a government sponsored book with individual authorship.In terms of collection of reference materials,it covers past and present and combines public and private.In terms of academic vision,it planned for the overall picture while putting the emphasis on Guangdong.It was a timely work intended to be practical and applicable,while at the same time adapted to the new academic changes in China's border and frontier historical and geographical research in the mid-Qing period.
