佛教与中国月宫传说的丰富

Buddhism and the enriching of Chinese moon legend

中国早期的月神话主要集中在西母、嫦娥、蟾蜍等记载中,东汉时期开始出现"月宫"说。随着佛教影响的深入,许多释氏经典对月中宫殿的周详描述,促进了此传说的进一步丰富。"月宫"一词渗入文学,使得佛教净土思想与道家仙境说相结合,原本苍凉的月亮有了富丽堂皇的宫殿,许多文体籍以演绎种种故事。可以说,佛教通过语汇介入与想象的注入,丰富了中国的月宫传说。

Early Chinese myths about the moon are mainly in some records such as ＂Hsi Mu＂,＂Chang E＂and ＂Toads＂.The moon legend appeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty.With the deepening of the influence of Buddhism,many classics made detailed description of the moon palace,which further enriched the legend.The appearance of ＂moon palace＂ in literature led to the combination of pure Buddhism thought and Taoist fairyland.As a result,the originally desolate moon had a magnificent palace and many stories were written about it.So we can say that Buddhism enriched Chinese moon legend by means of vocabulary and imagination
