由论文和引文复合指标表征的科学家学术研究节律——以Tibor Braun为例 被引量:1

摘要 Tibor.Braun是一位极其罕见的有着两种平行且完整科学生涯的人一作为化学家和作为科学计量学家,在两个科学领域他都获得了国际声誉。人们惊异他何以能长期在两个关联度不大的领域中并行学术生涯。基于Braun 45年学术生涯的发文-引文矩阵,运用论文指标、相对引文指标和论文-引文复合指标,我们逐步揭示出Braun的学术研究节律。①在两个并行领域的科学产出间保持着必要的张力:一个领域论文高产的年份,另一个领域的论文相对低产。②在论文数量和论文质量间存在着必要的张力:论文高影响力往往发生在论文低产出的年份。③张弛有道的节律完美演绎必要的张力:每个周期9年,包括4年沉寂期和5年活跃期,周而复始。 Tibor Braun is one of the very rare persons who pursued two complete scientific careers in parallel:one as a chemist,and one as a scientometrician.In both fields of science he achieved an international reputation.People wondered why he can pursue two parallel academic careers in two less related fields for a very long time.Based on the publication-citation matrix of Braun's 45-year academic career,applying the indicators of publication,relative citation and publication-citation combined, Braun's rhythm of academic research was revealed step by step.①Keeping essential tension between the productivities of two fields:when one field is highly productive,another field is less productive.②Essential tension exists between the publication quantity and the publication quality:papers of high influence were produced in the less productive years.③The rhythm of the tension alternating with relaxation perfectly deducts the essential tension:a 9-year cycle,including a 4-year downturn period and a 5-year active period,goes round and round.
