This paper,starting from the framework of affect,cognitive and performance,explores the potentials of cultural teaching in college English teaching.It is highly advisable that students＇ increasing ability of autonomous learning and teachers＇ autonomy in improving the textbook and monitoring classroom activities are effectively applied to enhance students＇ competence of transcultural communication and spirits of humanity.
