Cat in the Rain, one of short stories in In Our Time, is written by Ernest Hemingway, the well-known Ameriean writer. Analysing its text, the paper attempts to point out the changes of focalization, the transformation of spaces and the repetitions of spaeial image to demonstrate the sense of distance and emotion barrier among the eharaeters.
