In order to improve college English teaching effect and enhance students＇ English learning interest, we should pay much attention to the needs analysis theory. We should find out students＇ English/earning needs, then according to their learning needs establish a diversified and distinctive English selective course system. College English compulsory courses and selective courses complement each other, and they meet students＇ learning needs to a greater degree.
