禹铸九鼎传说谫论

Exploration and Analysis of the Legend of Da Yu Casting nine Tripods

《逸周书.度邑篇》有"九鼎"的记载,说明至迟在周初便有九鼎的流传。考古发现证明夏代已经进入铜器时代,"禹铸九鼎"传说是对这一时代的反映,古史辨派对这一传说所持的"近于神话"的态度不可取。九鼎所刻图案可能是螭龙一类的动物,夏民族尚九,从古文字字形分析,"九"当是"虯龙"形,这些可能都源于夏民族的龙蛇崇拜。《逸周书》中有两条关于商周之际九鼎变迁的资料,具有可信性。

That there was records of Nine Tripods in Yi Zhou Book？Duyi Article proves that the legend of Nine Tripods was popular as early as at the beginning of Zhou Dynasty.The fingding of archaeology proved that Xia Dynasty had come into Bronze Age,and the legend of Yu Casting Nine Tripods is a reflection of that time.The attitude should not be taken that the school of Discernment of Ancient History hold that this legend is near a fairy tale.The graphic pattern engraving in Nine Tripods might be Chi dragon or some kind.Xia Nation warshiped the Chinese character Nine,so be analyzing the shape of ancient Chinese character Nine,we find that it has the same shape as QiuLong,which might originate from Xia nation＇s worship towards dragon and snake.There are two terms of records about the transformation of Nine Tripods during Shang and Zhou period recorded in Yi Zhou Book,which are all believable.
