With the rapid development of economic globalization business English translation has become more and more important in international economy and trade. This paper starts with the definition of business English and the principle of utmost good faith and analyzes the relationship between them. Based on a large number of examples the author puts forward that the principle of utmost good faith should be the basic rule in business English translation. Last, some helpful suggestions are offered.
