并行分布式计算机样机的监测测试

摘要 介绍了一个基于联机实时监测的方案.它采用了作者研制的MS-1监测系统.该系统是一个具有同步实时时钟的分布式监测系统,采用事件驱动的软硬件混合监测方式.联机实时监测软件OM把监测系统的控制与监测数据(事件流)的采集和观测分析结合起来,完成了联机(实时)监测与分析,用来及时提供系统内部状态信息和动态行为.软硬件工程师则据此来调试计算机样机.根据以MS-1/OM用于华北计算技术研究所NCI-MPP机样机调试的经验,该方法可以相当大程度上缓解并行分布式计算机测试和调试的困难. The debugging and test of parallel or distributed computer systems, including the functional validation, fault elimination and exception processing, is not an easy job usually. This paper introduces a method based on online monitoring. It uses the monitor system MS 1 developed ourselves which is a distributed event driven hybrid monitor system with synchronous clock system. Online monitor program OM combines the control of the monitor system, collection of event trace and simple analysis tools to fulfil the online monitor. OM offers the internal states and the dynamic behavior to help engineers to debug and test the computer systems, both for hardware and software. The experience of debugging and test of the NCI MPP prototype, a parallel computer of North China Institute of Computing Technology, proved that this method can alleviate the difficulty of debugging and test of parallel and distributed computers effectively.
