The Improvement of Measuring in Available Bandwidth Based on Pathload

摘要 有效带宽测量一直是计算机网络领域热衷研究的方向之一,但实际测量中受到诸多条件的限制,导致测试结果和用户使用体验总是不能令人满意.因此,在已有的端到端测量技术自加载的周期性探测流(SLoPS)上,通过摒弃不必要的反复迭代,改进其评估和速率调整算法,一定程度上提高了测试速度,更主要的是降低了网络不可靠因素等现实条件给测试结果带来精准度下降的可能性.实验表明,改进带来的测试结果较之前更贴近实际的网络状况,降低了参数的波动,提高了稳定性. The available bandwidth is one of hot topics in computer network research all the time.However,the measurement of it is constrained by several conditions.This paper bases on the popular techniques of end to end measurement for available bandwidth named SLoPS.It presents an improving algorithm of evaluating network capacity,which keep away from unnecessary iterations among the procedure.Users can shorten the whole measurement procedure to some degree,and will reduce the passive effects that some unreliable conditions lead to for the results of examines by this way.The experiment shows that results from optimization design are more precise than the original measurement stems from pathload.Meanwhile fluctuation of response parameters is also declined which enhances the stability of results.
