Brief Introduction of Public Library legislation in Various Countries in the World

公共图书馆是一项全民的公益性事业,要想得到全面的发展,除全民的支持与维护必不可少外,更重要的是要有立法的保障,让图书馆事业有法可依。世界公共图书馆立法已有150多年的历史,国际上有60多个国家颁布了250余部图书馆法。本文主要按洲将具有代表性国家的立法做了简单的概述。

Public library is a nationwide public welfare undertaking.Therefore,support and maintenance of all the citizens are essential for its complete development.However,more importantly,the legislative guarantee is desperately needed to provide a standard for it to follow.The world public library legislation has developed into a history of over 150 years,and more than 60 countries in the world have issued over 250 regulations.This thesis Will present a general outline of the legislation in the representative countries in each continent.
