The article describes development situation of milling unit both at home and abroad and analyses main features, basic structure type of milling unit, the selection of milling speed and main notice items of design of milling unit. Meanwhile, probes into carrying out non-cutting off edge technology to strip for milling unit applied into welded pipe unit.
