摘要
粤菜菜单作为一种沟通渠道,它通过文字向食客传递广东饮食习惯和文化信息,在粤文化及中国传统文化对外交流中具有一定的重要性。因此,粤菜菜单的正确翻译能够进一步弘扬广东独具魅力的饮食文化,促进粤文化与国外文化的交流与发展。本文通过对影响粤菜菜单英译的因素进行分析,探讨了当前常用的几种菜单翻译方法藉此提高翻译质量,起到跨文化交流的效果。
As a communication channel,Cantonese menu plays an important role in promoting Cantonese culture and Chinese traditional culture by communicating Cantonese dietary habits and culture with people around the world.Therefore,the accurate translation of Cantonese menu can certainly promote the unique Cantonese dietary culture,and enhance cultural exchange between Cantonese culture and foreign cultures.By emphasizing the factors that influence the English translation of Cantonese menu,this article explores several commonly-used translation methods to raise the standard of English translation and ultimately realize the goal of cross-cultural communication.
