软新闻英译研究——以功能翻译理论为视角

On the Adaptation of News English From the Perspective of Functionalist Approaches

软新闻英译实际上是编译改写的工作。编译是翻译的一种,即运用增、减、编、述、并、改手段,对新闻事件进行变通翻译,从而达到准确、适当地报道该新闻内容的目的。而这一点与功能翻译理论对翻译定义的认识,与目的论和翻译是一种跨文化的交际行为,翻译的文本类型说等理论不谋而合。拟用实例从三个方面证明了功能翻译理论在软新闻英译中的适用性:译者的意图性、译文的可接受性、文化特殊性。

Adaptation refers to one of the translation methods,making full use of translation techniques such as expansion,omission,editing,paraphrase,substitution,reconstruction and so on to translate the source text freely to fulfill the news function of accurate and proper report.Functionalist Approaches can be the guidance of C-E soft news translation in many aspects,such as the intentionality of translator,the acceptability of target text,culture-specificity.
