摘要
翻译学与美学的结合为研究翻译提供了新的视角,中国古典小说《红楼梦》的回目从功能上讲是全书的一个楔子,从语言上讲是全书美感的缩影。邦索尔神父作为全译《红楼梦》一书的第一人,在回目上再现了原文巧夺天工的语言美、物我两忘的意境美、活灵活现的形象美和自成一家的风格美,潜移默化中为后来者指明了翻译方向,为中华璀璨文化的传播起到了推波助澜的作用。
The combination of Translatology and Aesthetics provides a brand-new perspective for the research of translation. Chapter titles of Hong Lou Meng( The Red Chamber Dream) , a Chinese classical novel, are prologues in function as well as epitomes of aesthetics in language of the whole text. Hong Lou Meng( The Red Chamber Dream), the first complete English version of Hong Lou Meng, translated by B. S. Bonsall, recurs original version's aesthetics in language, ideorealm, image and style through ehapler titles. Therefore, the English version guides for later translators and scholars unconciously, and prompts the transmission of splendid Chinese culture.
