Rethinking the Pulling-Out from the Vietnam War of the Kennedy Regime

肯尼迪是越南战争的始作俑者。肯尼迪去世后,学术界围绕其能否从越南脱身展开了长时间的争论。认为肯尼迪在1963年底已经开始从越南撤军或者其连任将从越南脱身的说法不过是美化肯尼迪的神话。那些断言肯尼迪能够带领美国从越南脱身的证据是经不起推敲的。通过对当时肯尼迪所处国内外环境和其自身状态的分析,我们认为肯尼迪不具备从越南脱身的条件。

Ever since the death of Robert Kennedy, the initiator of the Vietnam War, the academia has all along been discussing heatedly whether the Kennedy regime has really pulled out from Vietnam for a long time. Certain scholars say that the conclusion that Kennedy began to pull out from Vietnam in 1963, or his successor were to do so is only for the sake of glorifying Kennedy and his regime. The conclusion that asserts that Kennedy was able to pull out is by no means sound and irrefutable. Through the analysis on the situation he was in at home and abroad, it is sure that Kennedy was not able to do so.
