This paper discusses the problem of robust pole assignment using multirate input sampling state feedback. Because of the multirate input sampling, the actual input number of a system is increased, enabling the pole assignment state feedback controller to have some degree of freedom. In this paper, the degree of freedom is explicitly expressed as free parameters in form. These free parameters are selected by an optimization algorithm, and can be utilized to improve the robust performances of closed loop systems.
