The Effect of the Morphologies of ZnO Powders on the Characteristics of Spray Dried Powders

摘要 为了压制均匀致密的氧化锌压敏电阻片坯体,对比不同厂家的氧化锌的堆积密度、粉体粒度、透射电镜照片、料浆粘度及造粒料的粒度分布和形貌,指出氧化锌浆料的粘度和造粒后颗粒的形貌在很大程度上取决于原材料的颗粒形貌,并提出把堆积密度作为反映原料颗粒形貌的一个参数。并为氧化锌压敏电阻片的生产厂家选择合适的氧化锌及生产稳定产品提供了一个简便的方法。 In order to press homogeneous and dense green bodies of ZnO varistors, the tap densities, the particle sizes and transmission electron microscope (TEM) micrographs, slurry viscosity and particle size distribution and morphologies of spray dried powders of ZnO from different manufacturers were compared. It can be concluded that the viscosities of slurries and the morphologies of spray dried powers mainly depend on the morphologies of raw powders. It was proposed that the tap densities was used as a parameter indicating the morphologies of ZnO powders, which provides a simple method for ZnO varistor manufacturers to select appropriate ZnO raw materials and manufacture the products with the stable properties.
