The archives of people’s livelihood of ancient Huizhou is regarded as the common legacy of the human race, which is favored by more and more historians and archival scientists the world over. In the protection of cultural legacy, the archival departments should be able to accomplish some great things. This article makes a research on the life, productive activities, inter-personal relationships of the ancient people in Huizhou and the social structure, landownership and the development of local culture of Huizhou, etc. aiming at understanding and re-presenting the real situation of ancient Huizhou.
