利用恢复系 １９８ 与金 ２３ Ａ 配组育成的金优 １９８，是一个中秆偏大穗、高产稳产、抗性较强、米质优良的迟熟杂交晚稻新组合。全生育期 １１８～１２３ ｄ，单产 ７．５０～８．２５ ｔ／ｈｍ ２，米质达部颁二级优质食用稻米标准，中抗白叶枯病，较耐纹枯病和较抗褐飞虱。１９９９ 年 ２ 月通过湖南省农作物品种认定。

Jinyou 198, Jin 23A×198, is a newly developed partial large panicle, late hybrid rice combination. It matures in 118～123 days and yields 7.50～8.25 t/hm 2. Its grain quality is up to the 2nd class standard of fine quality rice issued by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture. It is intemediately resistant to bacterial leaf blight, comparatively tolerant or resistant to sheath blight and brown plant hopper. In February 1999, Jinyou 198 was registered in Hunan Province. The important techniques for its cultivation and hybrid seed production were also given in this paper.
