The paper analyzes in detail the characteristics and deficiencies of the information-based development of manufacturing industry logistics in China,proposes that the core manufacturer should improve the IT reliance of the supply chain through chain member collaboration which would in turn improve the information level of the logistics service industry,expounds the development process in connection with the mechanical industry,and presents concrete countermeasures.
