十月革命后的最初几年,形势动荡,苏维埃政权处于极为艰难时期。生理学家巴甫洛夫的科研工作受到极大影响。他不断公开批评布尔什维克政策,对此,苏联政府采取极为宽容的态度,并大力支持巴甫洛夫的科学事业,巴甫洛夫与政府逐渐由对抗转向合作。

The Soviet Union was in a volatile situation and was involved in a national disaster in the first several years after the momentous event of the October Revolution.Physiologist Pavlov's scientific research was significantly influenced during this period and he roundly denounced the Bolshevism.While,the government of Soviet Union had taken a tolerant attitude to his criticism and supported his research,as a result Pavlov began to cooperate with the Soviet Union.
