早期“炼金术”与“化学”的词源辨析——兼评古代科学的二重性 被引量：1

The Relation between Alchemy and Chemistry in the View of Etymology

摘要 通过古埃及语、希腊语、希伯来语、阿拉伯语文献中的相关词语的考证发现,在古代科学中,并没有接近现代"炼金术"与"化学"的两个不同的词语,"炼金术"与"化学"的区别是在近代欧洲才有的。从这些古语的词源意义看,同一个词语所代表的知识或学科具有神秘法术和经验技艺的二重性。通常所谓"化学起源于炼金术"的说法其实只是这种二重性的重新调整。同时,这种二重性及其格局的近代转变在科学史上具有某种普遍意义。 By checking etymological meaning of the relevant terms in Egyptian,Greek,Hebrew,Arabic literature,we know that there were no two different words 'alchemy' or 'chemistry' in ancient cultures.But,rather,with a single word of knowledge or disciplines they represented both by the mystical magic and experience the duality of art.
