研究了一种适用于光纤通信的 Si基 Ge Si集成光波导定向耦合器.基于耦合模理论,对其功率传输特性进行了分析,得到了定向耦合器的耦合间距和耦合长度.其结果表明,在所得到的最佳耦合长度处,这种耦合器可将光从其输入波导一端 100% 地耦合至另一波导并输出.同时得到,当耦合器的耦合长度为 100% 耦合长度的一半时,可作为3 d
A Si based GeSi integrated optical waveguide directional coupler for optical communications has been investigated. Coupling space and coupling length of the coupler are derived,and power transfer between the two waveguides is described by the coupled mode theory. The results indicate that the power transfer from one waveguide arm into another waveguide arm could be 100% realized at the optimum coupling length. The 3 dB coupler has also been obtained at a half of 100% coupler length.
