On the Image of Lu Dongbin and the Clerisy in the Song and Yuan Dynasty

在宋元时期士大夫们的笔记小说与诗文集中,有许多涉及吕洞宾的文论、传说故事及诗词。这些文论对吕洞宾崇拜的态度不尽相同,表现了不同的思想观念。而传说故事和诗词,不仅参与了对吕洞宾形象的塑造,同时还表明吕洞宾形象被不少士人与士大夫奉为一种精神寄托。

here were a lot of literary critiques, stories and poems about Lu Dongpin in the clerisy＇s writings during the Song and Yuan dynasties, with different attitudes of worship to Lu Dongbin and showing the different ideas. These stories and poems has created the image of Lu Dongpin and meantime revealed that the image is their spiritual sustenance.
