The article introduces the design methods of orifice plate throttling device using for the flooded type evaporator on the screw chiller and the turbo chiller.It gives an adequate description about the specialized automatic calculation program using Excel VBA according to the basic theory of Lin Zonghu equation.As experience proves,the design method was suitable and valuable for this kind of requirement.The orifice parameter such as the holes quantities,pipe size etc.can be calculated accurately and quickly.It is very useful and helpful for the development jobs about the screw chiller and turbo chiller.
