＂忽如一夜春风来,千树万树梨花开＂。一向默默无闻的核雕,忽然名声大噪了起来。在北京的街头,上海的城隍庙,广州的马路上及古玩市场都能看到核雕的身影。其中,橄榄核雕更是受人推崇,风行一时：小小的橄榄核雕品被挂在颈上、包上、手机上,核雕手串则被套在手腕上。笔着从事核雕二十多年,还是第一次见到今天的盛况。

Kernel carving has a long history in China,its early record was in the Ming Dynasty,Wang Shuyuan from Ming Dynasty lived in the area of Suzhou,his creation of 'Su Dongpo rafting red cliff' is now being considered as the classic piece.In the Qing Dynasty,more and more kernel carving artists showed up their marvelous techniques, including Song Qifeng,Shen Junyu,Du Shiyuan,among them the most popular master is the author' s greatgrandfather Yin Genfu.
