外文藏书质量评价与优化策略研究——以黑龙江科技学院图书馆为例

Study on the Quality Evaluation and Optimization Strategy of Foreign Collections ——Taking Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology Library as an Example

外文藏书的馆藏质量直接影响用户服务工作的质量。通过对黑龙江科技学院图书馆外文藏书数量、藏书结构及藏书利用率等各项指标分析发现,黑龙江科技学院图书馆外文藏书覆盖面比较广泛,体系比较完整,但藏书总量不足,还没有达到相对合理的规模,近两年新书年增加量较前3年大幅度下降。因此,应对外文图书采购策略、外文藏书数量和质量、馆员素质等方面进行优化。

The quality of foreign collections directly affects the quality of user services.Analyzing the number,structure and utilization of foreign collections in Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology Library shows that foreign collections have a wide coverage and complete system,but the total amount of collections is insufficient and hasn＇t attained relatively reasonable scale.The increasing amount of new books in recent two years reduces far greatly than the last three years.We should try to optimize acquirement strategies of foreign books,the amount and quality of foreign collections and the quality of librarians,and so on.
