A Brief Study of ZHAO Zhen-ji's Military Thoughts

明人赵贞吉以诗文与杨升庵、任少海、熊南沙称为"蜀四大家"。他是一位敢于怒斥严嵩误国的忠直大臣,其军事思想主要有:该战则战、该和即和的变通思想;对防务的重视和灵活布防的军事策略;主张五府分治;强调赏罚分明在军事中的作用等。

ZHAO Zhen-ji,YANG Sheng-an,REN Shao-hai,and XIONG Nan-sha altogether were called ＂Four Great Writers of Sichuan＂ in Ming Dynasty.And ZHAO Zhen-ji was a loyal chancellor who dared to denounce YAN Song who did harm to country.His military thoughts mainly include the flexible strategy which stressed necessary war and negotiation,attention to the flexible defense,separation of five departments,and stress the function of encouragement and punishment in the army.
