On Enhancing College Teachers' Qualities in Humanities

对大学教师加强人文素质教育,主要是通过对教师加强文学、哲学、艺术、历史等人文科学的教育,以提高全体教师的文化品位、人文素养和审美情趣。大学教师作为高深学问的传播者,他们既要有专业知识,又要有较广博的科学文化知识,既有师德,又有技能,有深厚的文化底蕴与高雅的文化品位,才能培养出高素质、高品位的人才。

A person＇s quality in humanities includes not only his foundation knowledge in language, history and philosophy, but his accomplishment of the art and the understanding of marvelous culture achievement in the world. Enhancing college teachers＇ qualities in humanities aims at increasing their culture taste, comprehensive qualities in humanities and aesthetic interest. As specialists who spread great learning to students, college teachers are required to have not only specialized knowledge but also general understanding in other fields. To train personnel of high quality and good taste, they should have morality, skills and abundant humanities as well.
