A Brand-New Democracy with the Double Nature of Political Democracy and Social Democracy——An analysis of the multi-party cooperation system under the leadership of the CPC

国外一党制、两党制和多党制是政治专制与政治民主的不同形态,中国共产党领导的多党合作制是一种具有政治民主与社会民主双重性质的新型民主形态:一方面,中国共产党领导的多党合作制使民主党派具有制度化的参政渠道,具有政治民主的特点,对中国的政治过程有重要的影响;另一方面,中国共产党领导的多党合作制体现了中国共产党与民主党派平等主体间的关系,其政治组织形式使执政党和民主党派得以广泛联系群众进行参政议政、实行民主监督,具有社会民主性质。

One-party system,bipartism and multi-party system in foreign countries are the different forms of political autocracy and democracy while the multi-party cooperation system under the leadership of the CPC is a brand-new democracy with the double nature of political democracy and social democracy.Firstly,the multi-party cooperation system provides democratic parties with institutional channels to participate in the management of state affairs,which is featured by political democracy and has an important influence on Chinese political progress.Secondly,the multi-party cooperation system demonstrates the equal relationship between the CPC and democratic parties and its political organization enables both the ruling party and democratic parties to unite the masses to participate in the management of state affairs and exercise political supervision and therefore,it has the nature of social democracy.
