清太祖名为“努尔哈齐”论

The Name of Qingtaizu Should be "Nu Er Ha Qi"

清太祖的名字来自满语,罗马转写为"nurhaci"。汉译名"弩儿哈奇",最早见之于《清太祖武皇帝实录》。乾隆初,清朝编纂《清太祖高皇帝实录》时,润色为"弩尔哈齐"。民国时期出版的《清史稿》,进一步润色为"努尔哈齐"。而清太祖汉译名"努尔哈赤",最早来源于《明实录》中的"奴儿哈赤",是明朝人对少数民族的丑化用词。笔者认为:本着名从主人、尊重历史以及与时俱进的原则,清太祖名应写为"努尔哈齐"。

Qingtaizu＇s Manchurian name,when translated into Latin,is＂Nurhaci.＂The Chinese translation of this name is＂Nu Er Ha Qi ＂,first seen in The Memoir of Qingtaizu Emperor Wu.But today the widely-accepted Chinese translation of his name is＂Nu Er Ha Chi＂ which derives from The Faithful Record of Ming Dynasty,and which is a humiliating expression used by the people in Ming dynasty.And therefore,on the principle of respecting historical truth,the paper argues that the name of Qingtaizu should be translated as ＂Nu Er Ha Qi＂ in Chinese.
