摘要
英语习语是现代语言学研究的一个焦点,学者们从一系列角度对它进行了探索。通过运用概念整合理论这一全新的视角,对英语习语认知理据进行了研究。研究表明,概念整合网络可以为英语习语的理解提供合理的解释。
English idioms constitute one focus of contemporary linguistic research,into which scholars have made researches from various angles.This article attempts to explore the cognitive motivation of English idioms from a brand-new perspective,that is,conceptual integration theory.The research suggests that conceptual integration network serves to account for the understanding of English idioms.
